Quarry Park

Quarry Park is the product of a 20-year volunteer effort. Formerly a marble quarry, then a magical garden, and subsequently a town dump, the area has been resurrected as a passive park planted completely with native plants. There are quiet places to sit and views of the Hudson from the Wooded Bluff. Quarry Park and the Quarry Railroad Trail connect Draper Park, the Old Croton Aqueduct and the Hastings waterfront, contributing to walkability in Hastings.

For lots more info, including detailed history of both the park and its restoration, see the Friends of Quarry Park website.
